SONGWRITERS IN THE ROUND, BYOB AND CHAIR
Six singer-songwriters will take you into their stories and their lives while serenading you with their music.
- Walt Wilkins is a 25-year songwriting veteran. He has been on a spiritual quest that has at times been heartbreaking & transcendent. He has made 9 solo records, 4 records with The Mighty Mystiqueros, 1 with his wife Tina, and there's a new live record with his friend Kevin Welch.
- Bill Small, a Wimberley local, has made his living as a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, entrepreneur, artist, producer, vocal coach, business and personal coach... all facets that combine into a potent musical force.
- Elliott Rogers taught himself how to play guitar from an easy Beatles book when he was very young, but when he heard a Doc Watson album borrowed from a friend’s mother, Elliott was profoundly moved. With roots in bluegrass, Elliott began honing his songwriting in Austin Tx in the 80s. Performing with Blaze Foley, Townes Van Zandt, Robert Earl Keen, Darden Smith, Calvin Russel and more recently playing guitar and singing with Bluegrass Hall of Fame award winner Alan Munde. His latest album is with the Southwest Bluegrass Allstars (Steve Smith, Anne Luna, & Bill Evans) and is available on all streaming services.
- David Byboth can weave a story with a song that will have you laughing or weeping and maybe both at the same time. He has a fine collection of songs about real people and real lives.
- Rose Gabriel, was born in El Paso and she picked up a guitar at age 13. Her songs tell of the struggle of living life on the border, personal heartbreaks, and living life in the Texas Hill Country.
- Susan Gibson knows all about blessings. Roundabout 28 years ago, she wrote herself a wish that grew up and went off on its own to become one of the biggest country songs of all time (heard of the song "Wide Open Spaces"?) Gibson continues to travel the country sharing her smile, laugh, and great songs.
